Divorce Care

The anger, pain, and grief experienced during the loss of a relationship, separation, and/or divorce are very real. There are, however, common similarities of underlying emotions for all who are experiencing and have journeyed through these losses.

When you NEED family and friends, Bethel DivorceCare is here.

Bethel’s DivorceCare is a recovery support group for those experiencing the loss of a “‘til death do us part” life promised with a spouse.

Our group is created to be a friendly, caring community that feels like family. This can be a confusing time, and it may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now, feeling isolated and having many questions about why this happened to you. There are new situations and difficult decisions you have never made and faced (e.g. child custody, division of property, financial challenges, friendship, and relationship changes, and family conflicts). Know we will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences and assure you don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

When you NEED family, Bethel DivorceCare is here.

What to Expect

We will be in a 13-week course, meeting via Zoom on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. As a group, we will watch videos featuring top experts discussing various topics on divorce. After viewing, we will discuss the video’s focus and the personal challenges presently happening in your lives (if you choose to share).

During the week, you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study to process your emotions and experiences through journaling. Your group will take time to talk about the questions and comments from the workbook study guide in a safe, confidential environment. We will also take a few moments to pray for God’s guidance during this transitional time in your life.
