BETHEL IN 3D

The values of Bethel World Outreach Church are Devotion, Diversity, and Discipleship—otherwise known as the 3Ds.

Devotion: Honoring God by trusting his Word, praying, and worshipping together.

Acts 2:42
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

Everything we do as a church is out of our desire to honor God. Our devotion ultimately centers on the person and work of Jesus Christ. He is the foundation upon which we base our teaching, worship, and fellowship.

Diversity: Embracing God’s heart for every nation.

Mark 11:17
…My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations.

We believe that the church should be a reflection of the Kingdom of Heaven, where people from every tribe, nation, and tongue can come together to worship the Living God. We also believe that God has called us to the ministry of reconciliation in our city. Just as God reconciles us to himself through Jesus, he also reconciles us to one another.

Discipleship: Helping others follow Jesus.

Matthew 28:19–20
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

At Bethel, we believe that every member is a minister and is called to help others follow Jesus. Discipleship is not an event or a program, but a process. We describe this process as the 4Es:

  • Engage our culture, community, and non-Christians with the gospel.
  • Establish believers in the faith, spiritual disciplines, and spiritual family.
  • Equip followers with basic skills to make disciples.
  • Empower disciples to be and make disciples.
